- If pain symptoms in your dog persist, take your dog to the vet for an evaluation
- Opt for conventional medicine in severe circumstances
Because of the safety of homeopathic medicine, Traumeel is often preferred by many pet owners as an alternative to more conventional pain relief medication. Although some pets may appear to feel relief from the effects of the tablets, if symptoms do persist it’s important to return to the vet for a re-evaluation where your vet will likely suggest the use of NSAIDs.
You should be aware that there is currently not much scientific evidence to support the effectiveness of homeopathic remedies beyond placebo, though many people swear by such remedies and there are various anecdotes of their effectiveness.
If your dog is suffering and homeopathic solutions don’t work, you may wish to ask your vet about meloxicam for your dog’s pain.
